The shareholders of Montreal-based Les Éditions de la Chenelière Inc., a leading publisher of educational textbooks and other specialized publications, partially monetized their equity stake in the company as a result of a transaction with Borealis Private Equity Fund.
The transaction closed on October 10, 2002 and resulted in the creation of Perseis Publishing Inc., which is jointly held by the former shareholders of Les Éditions de la Chenelière and by two vehicles of Borealis. All transaction amounts are confidential.
Les Éditions de la Chenelière and its shareholders were represented by Ogilvy Renault in Montreal, with a team that included Angelo Noce, Dominique Fortin and Jean Setlakwe; and by Saturnino G.
