On March 1, 2018, Brockville General Hospital (BGH) and Infrastructure Ontario (IO) reached financial close with EllisDon Infrastructure BGH Inc. (Project Co) to build the Brockville General Hospital - Phase 2 Redevelopment project.
The contract is valued at $131.2 million, which reflects the substantial completion payment.
The project will consolidate programs and services currently offered at the Hospital’s Garden and Charles Street sites to a single campus at the Charles Street site. The project involves a combination of new construction and renovations, including a new four-storey addition plus mechanical penthouse.
BGH and IO were represented by Borden Ladner Gervais LLP with a legal team that included Richard Shaban, Rob Blackstein and Andrew Bigioni, and an in-house legal team at IO including Agnes von dem Hagen and Carolyn Currie.
Project Co was represented by Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP with a legal team that included Vivian Kung, Jennifer Ruddick and Laura Gagnon, and an in-house legal team including Andrés Durán and Jessica Ho-Wo Cheong.
The lender was by McCarthy Tétrault LLP with a legal team that included Morgan Troke and Ailbish Skinner.
