On Jan. 17, 2024, Amazon MGM Studios announced an agreement with Pinewood Group’s Toronto Studios to lease approximately 160,000 square feet of space, including exclusive use of five new sound stages, workshop and office space. This landmark lease agreement marks Amazon MGM Studios’ first multi-year commitment to Canadian studio space and their second commitment to studio space for productions filmed outside of the U.S.
Pinewood Toronto Studios, part of Pinewood Group, provides the Toronto region with best-in-class facilities hosting 16 sound stages, including the Mega Stage, which is one of North America’s largest purpose-built sound stages. This agreement signifies substantial commitments to the continued expansion of film and series projects in Toronto.
