On May 21, 2010, Quadra Mining Ltd. and FNX Mining Company Inc. completed a merger by way of a plan of arrangement under the Business Corporations Act (Ontario). Under the arrangement, Quadra acquired all of the issued and outstanding common shares of FNX. Former shareholders of FNX received 0.87 Quadra shares and $0.0001 for each common share of FNX. The combined company's name was changed to Quadra FNX Mining Ltd. This merger of two Canadian mid-tier players positions Quadra FNX to be a leading consolidator in the mid-cap copper space.
