On June 1, 2004, Richelieu Hardware Ltd. acquired substantially all of the assets and property of Volk Enterprises, Inc. d/b/a Allied Casework Supply. This acquisition will permit Richelieu Hardware to continue its foray in the US by creating the Allied Casework Supply division located in the States of Georgia and South Carolina. The value of the transaction was US$2.8 million.
