On May 26, 2009, Rogers Communications Inc. closed its public offering of $1 billion aggregate principal amount of 5.80 per cent Senior Notes due 2016. The Senior Notes were issued by Rogers and guaranteed by two of its wholly owned subsidiaries, Rogers Wireless Partnership and Rogers Cable Communications Inc.
The offering was made in each of the provinces of Canada through a syndicate of agents. Rogers intends to use the net proceeds of the offering for general corporate purposes, including the repayment of outstanding debt under Rogers's bank credit facility.
