Corporation (“Semtech”) completed the acquisition of all of the issued and outstanding common shares of Gennum Corporation (“Gennum”) pursuant to a statutory plan of arrangement under the Business Corporations Act (Ontario). Semtech Canada Inc., an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Semtech, acquired all of the common shares of Gennum for aggregate cash consideration of approximately $500 million, being $13.55 per common share.
The acquisition broadens Semtech's existing portfolio of high-speed communications platforms by adding Genum's data communications and video platforms.
