Stewart and Stevenson LLC completed the acquisition of substantially all of the assets of Calgary-based Crown Energy Technologies Inc. for an undisclosed cash amount on February 27, 2007.
Headquartered in Calgary with multiple US operations, Crown is a leading manufacturer of drilling, well servicing and workover rigs and stimulation equipment.
Stewart & Stevenson, based out of Houston, Texas since 1902, is a leading provider of capital and rental equipment and aftermarket parts and service that supports global clients primarily within the oil and gas industry. Stewart & Stevenson operates from a network of 47 locations and as a result of the Crown acquisition will be the largest provider of well stimulation equipment in North America.
