Summit Real Estate Investment Trust completed a public offering of 5,827,703 trust units at $14.80 per unit for total gross proceeds of $86.2 million on December 3, 2002. The offering was completed on a bought deal basis, and included 760,135 units issued upon the full exercise of the underwriter’s option. The units were sold to a syndicate of underwriters led by CIBC World Markets Inc. and BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., and including RBC Dominion Securities Inc., Scotia Capital Inc., National Bank Financial Inc., TD Securities Inc., Canaccord Capital Corporation and Trilon Securities Corporation. The proceeds of the offering were used to repay existing indebtedness and for other general trust purposes.
