Sun Life Financial Services of Canada Inc. completed a public offering on October 4, 2001 in Canada and the U.S. of 11 million common shares raising $330 million. The proceeds of the offering were used to finance in part the acquisition in the U.S. of Keyport Life Insurance Inc. and Independent Financial Marketing Group, Inc.
