Talisman Energy Inc., a Canadian independent oil and gas producer, sold its indirect interest in the Greater Nile Oil Project in Sudan to ONGC Videsh Limited, a subsidiary of India’s national oil company. The deal closed on March 12, 2003. The aggregate amount realized by Talisman and its subsidiaries from the deal, including interest, was approximately $1.13 billion, subject to post-closing adjustments.
