On January 26, 2009 TD Capital Trust IV, a subsidiary of The Toronto-Dominion Bank (TDBFG), completed a public offering of $550,000,000 principal amount of 9.523 per cent TD Capital Trust IV Notes-Series 1 due June 30, 2108 and $450,000,000 principal amount of 10 per cent TD Capital Trust IV Notes-Series 2 due June 30, 2108 (collectively, the TD CaTS IV Notes). The TD CaTS IV Notes qualify as Tier 1 regulatory capital of TDBFG. The TD CaTS IV Notes were offered by a syndicate of underwriters led by TD Securities Inc.
