On September 28, 2005, Teck Cominco Ltd. completed the issue of US$1 billion in aggregate principal amount of debt securities consisting of US$300 million in aggregate principal amount of 5.375 per cent notes due October 1, 2015 and US$700 million in aggregate principal amount of 6.125 per cent notes due October 1, 2035. The offering was conducted in the US pursuant to Teck Cominco's US$1 billion shelf registration statement filed under the Multijurisdictional Disclosure System. The offering was managed by JP Morgan Securities Inc. and Citigroup Global Markets Inc., as joint book-running managers, with a syndicate that included Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Inc., RBC Capital Markets Corp., BMO Nesbitt Burns Corp., TD Securities (USA) Inc., CIBC World Markets Corp., Scotia Capital (USA) Inc., BNP Paribas Securities Corp. and HSBC Securities (USA) Inc.
