On June 11, 2003, Montreal-based The Hockey Company closed its initial public offering through the issuance of common shares in Canada and a concurrent Rule 144A offering in the U.S. of The Hockey Company Holdings Inc., its newly created parent company. The closing resulted in gross proceeds of $72 million.
