The Maritime Life Assurance Company completed a $100 million public offering of 6.10 per cent non-cumulative redeemable second preferred shares, series 3 in December 13, 2002. The offering, which was effected by way of a bought deal, was underwritten by a syndicate led by BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc. and CIBC World Markets Inc., and including RBC Dominion Securities Inc., Scotia Capital Inc., National Bank Financial Inc. and TD Securities Inc.
