Thomas Cook Canada Inc., a subsidiary of Thomas Cook Group plc, acquired TriWest Travel Holdings Ltd. on August 1, 2008, for approximately $114 million. The acquired business – through its well-known Fun Sun and Intair brands – is a leading independent travel wholesaler in Canada. TTH, headquartered in Montréal, was formed through the merger of Fun Sun Vacations Ltd. and V.I.T. Voyages Intair Transit Inc. in December 2005. Its primary destinations include the United States and Europe, with growing sales to the South Pacific, Asia, Africa and Central/South America.
