Tim Hortons Bakery Venture

The TDL Group Ltd. (franchisor of the Tim Hortons system) entered into a joint venture equally owned with IAWS Group plc of Ireland on March 6, 2001, establishing a $100 million bakery facility to prepare par-baked products for distribution to the Tim Hortons restaurant chain and to customers of Cuisine de France, an IAWS subsidiary.

TDL was represented by its General Counsel, Alfred Lane, and Wendy’s International, Inc., TDL’s parent, was represented by Leon McCorkle, Jr., General Counsel. They were assisted by a team from Lang Michener led by Robert Glass with assistance from Dale Schlosser, Don MacOdrum, Stephan Luciw, Nairn Waterman and Susan Muigai. Irish advice to TDL was provided by Gerard Coll and Deborah Kelly of Eugene F. Collins.
