Toronto-Dominion Bank (TD Bank) has completed the capital raising program it required to finance its acquisition of Canada Trust Financial Services Inc, with an offering of $750 million of debentures qualifying as Tier 2 capital of the Bank. The final prospectus was filed on April 7, 2000. Over the past year, TD Bank has undertaken a series of public financing raising over $2.6 billion of capital in connection with the Canada Trust acquisition.
