TSX Group Inc. entered into a five-year strategic alliance with Canada Newswire Ltd. (CNW), effective August 20, 2003. The value of the deal is undisclosed. Under the alliance, the parties established CNX Marketlink, a comprehensive suite of enhanced investor communication tools, combining the existing offering of CNW’s products and services with TSX technology to deliver best-of-class communication solutions for publicly-listed companies. The CNX Marketlink suite of communications solutions include: (i) the distribution of news releases and alerts through Canadian Disclosure Network, as well as LinxPointOne; (ii) webcasting and conference call services that will enable the delivery of time-sensitive information around the country and around the world; and (iii) regulatory filing services for both SEDAR(R) and EDGAR to facilitate public companies’ compliance with applicable securities disclosure laws.
