VarTec Acquires BCE's Excel Communications

On August 26, 2001, Bell Canada Enterprises (BCE) and VarTec Telecom, Inc. announced the signing of definitive agreements whereby VarTec will acquire from BCE the businesses of Excel Communications in North America. The transaction is valued at approximately US$250 million.
