On April 30, 2002, Westburne-Woseley Canada Inc. completed its acquisition of Brock Engineering for an undisclosed amount. Westburne-Woseley is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Woseley plc, the world's largest specialist trade distributor of heating and plumbing products with worldwide sales in excess of $16 billion. Brock Engineering is one of the top three Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) wholesalers in Quebec and also operates in Ontario and the Maritime provinces. This acquisition strengthens Westburne-Woseley's market position in the HVAC business in Eastern Canada. Westburne-Woseley is a leading distributor of plumbing, waterworks, HVAC, refrigeration and industrial supplies with locations across Canada.
Woseley was represented by Stikeman Elliot LLP's John W. Leopold, Michel Gélinas and Dominique Babin (corporate), Jean Carrier (environment), Derek Chiasson (tax), Eveline Poirier (employment) and Paul Collins (regulatory). Brock was represented by a team led by Monica Maynard of Maynard & Zaor.
