Partner in the firm's regulatory/environment department. Acts primarily for project developers, pipelines, industry associations, utility companies, gas buyers, producers and financial institutions; with particular experience in oil, gas, electricity, liquefied natural gas, compressed natural gas and natural gas liquids, matters relating to tolls and tariffs, facilities; including Aboriginal and environmental implications, and imports/exports. Also has considerable experience in addressing deregulation issues in both the gas and electric industries. Practises before the CER, the AUC and the AER, and has participated in proceedings before the BCUC and the PUB of the Yukon and Northwest Territories. Former counsel to the NEB and spent several years with the Federal Department of Energy, Mines and Resources. Member of LSA, LSUC, LSNT and CalBA. Called to the Ontario Bar in 1982, the Alberta Bar in 1991 and the Northwest Territories Bar in 1994.
