Richard is co-Head of the Bennett Jones Litigation Department and the firm's Commercial Litigation practice group. He has a practice focused on complex corporate and commercial litigation and public law issues. He has comprehensive and extensive trial and appellate experience, having appeared before all levels of Court in Ontario, the Federal Court of Canada, the Supreme Court, and an array of administrative and arbitral tribunals. Richard's practice specialties include corporate disputes, shareholder oppression issues, commercial disputes, restructurings, injunctions, arbitrations, economic torts, professional negligence and discipline, estates litigation, and administrative and public law. Richard is an Adjunct Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School, teaching Advanced Commercial Litigation. He is a member of the American Bar Association and a member and former director and committee Chair of The Advocates' Society. He is a sought-after speaker on advocacy and professional issues at seminars and conferences.
