Andrew’s practice focuses on banking, financial services, asset-based finance, debt finance and lending and project finance. He regularly acts on secured and unsecured debt syndications, acquisitions financings, subscription-based credit facilities, note and bond deals, subordinated debt arrangements, and intercreditor arrangements. He also has experience in corporate and commercial acquisitions and regularly advises on cross-border financings. Andrew has experience in financing transactions across a wide range of industries and sectors, including energy, financial services, oil & gas, construction and agriculture. Andrew also regularly acts as agent counsel to international law firms in providing Canadian advice on various financing transactions. Andrew has been named a Rising Star in IFLR1000: The Guide to the World's Leading Financial Law Firms and recognized in The Legal 500 Canada.
On January 24, 2020, Encana Corporation completed a corporate reorganization and plan of arrangement that resulted in the company establishing its corporate domicile in the U.S., rebranding under the name Ovintiv Inc. (“Ovintiv”), and completing a consolidation and share exchange for one share of common stock of Ovintiv for every five common shares of Encana.
On April 1, 2016, TransCanada Corporation closed a bought deal offering of subscription receipts in Canada and the United States for aggregate gross proceeds of $4.4 billion, which, at the time, constituted the largest bought deal offering in Canadian history
