Auriol's practice focuses primarily on aircraft finance and aviation commercial and regulatory law matters. She acts as trusted counsel to the leading lessors and financiers who support the commercial aircraft and airline industry, including in respect of advised clients on matters relating to aviation M&A, the operation and certification of remotely piloted aircraft systems (drones), airline restructuring and insolvency, aircraft repossession, airline licensing, airport privatization and conflict of laws issues. She is recognized as a leading aviation and drone lawyer in all major legal directories and ranking publications. Auriol gained industry experience while working for a Canadian airline. She is the Chair of the Aviation Working Group – Canada Contact Group, the former Chair of the Canadian Bar Association Air and Space Law Section, as well as a member of Women in Aviation and Women in Aerospace. As a commercial multi-IFR (instrument flight rules) pilot, Auriol is heavily involved in the industry, including as Chair of the Board of Directors for Hope Air, a not-for-profit organization that provides air transportation for Canadians requiring access to medical resources.
