Jeff practises corporate and securities law. His primary focus is on securities matters, particularly in the areas of mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance, corporate governance and continuous disclosure compliance, including as these practice areas relate to the evolving ESG landscape and sustainable finance. Jeff has experience in representing both private and publicly traded issuers listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, the New York Stock Exchange and the TSX Venture Exchange. As counsel to offerors and targets, he has acted on a number of domestic and cross-border takeover bids, plans of arrangement and contested proxy contests. He has also acted on behalf of underwriters and dealers in both public and private offerings of equity, debt and hybrid securities and assists clients with corporate governance matters and continuous disclosure compliance obligations, as well as general corporate and commercial matters.  Jeff also has experience advising clients on ESG matters, including in respect of corporate governance and compliance, disclosure and KPI targets, and sustainable finance.
