Joseph practises real estate law with a specialization in commercial leasing matters. He acts for several prominent Canadian and foreign owners, developers, and tenants focusing on retail, office, industrial, and specialty (e.g., solar/wind farm and credit tenant) leases. He has worked on numerous transactions that have been named “Deal of the Year” by the National Association of Office and Industrial Properties (NAIOP). Joseph has also worked on transactions that have been reported as the largest commercial lease transactions in the City of Toronto for the year in which they were completed. Joseph is the co-author of the commercial leasing chapter included in the Law Society's Bar Admission Course materials. Joseph is also Co-Chair of the Law Society’s annual continuing legal education conference focused on commercial leasing issues and he lectures extensively at a number of other real estate seminars, including the law conference of the ICSC (Innovating Commerce Serving Communities). He is a past member of the board of editors for the Retail Law Strategist as well as a past member of Planning Committee for Toronto's Next Generation (an association created by the ICSC to help nurture young real estate professionals).
