Sarah is an experienced family lawyer with over 30 years of practice. She advises clients on complex issues such as support, property division, and domestic and international parenting matters. Sarah skillfully negotiates agreements and represents clients in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations. Recognized by Best Lawyers International, Sarah was named Toronto Family Lawyer of the Year in 2019. She is ranked by Lexpert as a leading practitioner and is a Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers. Sarah has served as President of the Canadian Chapter of the International Academy of Family Lawyers. She is a Law Alumni Association Council member of the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. She is a Director of the Toronto Lawyers Association and Co-Chair of its Family and Estates Committee. Sarah is a frequent speaker and writer on family law topics. She has authored educational materials used by the Law Society of Ontario. Sarah holds a BA and MA from Queen’s University and an LLB from the University of Toronto. She clerked at the Supreme Court of Canada and was called to the Ontario bar in 1993.
