Jennifer F. Longhurst

Jennifer Longhurst is a leader in M&A, shareholder activism, corporate/securities and private equity matters, counselling business leaders, boards, committees and investors on complex transactions, special situations, corporate governance and securities law regulatory and compliance matters. She is co-lead of the firm’s Critical Situations & Shareholder Activism Group and a governance expert, guiding clients on a wide range of governance issues and shareholder activism and transaction-specific matters. Her extensive practice knowledge is matched by her expertise in key industries — including mining, energy, retail, financial services, pharmaceutical, private equity, real estate, and manufacturing — making her a trusted advisor on strategic and legal issues and broader business concerns. Jennifer is also active in the business community as a thought leader, speaker, educator and representative on industry boards, including serving as former chair of the OSC’s Securities Advisory Committee, a former Adjunct Professor at Osgoode Law School’s Professional LLM Program and a member of the Leadership Committee for 50/50 Women on Boards.
