On October 26, 2018, Stingray Digital Group Inc. (TSX: RAY.A; RAY.B), a leading music, media and technology company, completed the acquisition of Newfoundland Capital Corporation Limited (TSX: NCC.A; NCC.B), one of Canada’s leading radio broadcasters with 101 broadcast licences (72 radio stations and 29 repeating signals) across Canada, in a transaction valued at approximately $506 million.
On January 10, 2019, a consortium consisting of Air Canada, Toronto-Dominion Bank (“TD”), Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (“CIBC”) and Visa Canada Corp. (“Visa”) announced the successful closing of its purchase of Aimia Canada Inc., owner and operator of the Aeroplan Loyalty Business, from Aimia Inc.
On December 14, 2017, Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc., the largest independent convenience store operator in North America, completed a US private offering of US$600 million principal amount of 2.350 per cent senior unsecured notes due 2019 and US$300 million principal amount of floating rate senior unsecured notes due 2019 (collectively, the Notes).

(Marketwired), a leading global newswire operator and press release distributor company and a portfolio company of OMERS Private Equity.
On February 1, 2016, GFL Environmental Inc. (GFL) completed the acquisition of the Matrec solid waste division from TransForce Inc. (TSX: TFI, OTCQX: TFIFF) for $800 million. The acquisition was funded in part by the private offering of US$300 million in aggregate principal amount of senior unsecured notes due 2021 (the Note Offering) through a syndicate of broker dealers led by Credit Suisse, BMO Capital Markets and Barclays and including Scotiabank, CIBC Capital Markets, Comerica Securities, National Bank of Canada Financial Markets and Raymond James (the Dealers).

(Postmedia) completed the acquisition of Sun Media Corporation’s (Sun Media) English language newspapers and speciality publications, as well as digital properties including the Sun chain of dailies, consisting of The Toronto Sun, The Ottawa Sun, The Winnipeg Sun, The Calgary Sun and The Edmonton Sun, as well as The London Free Press and the free 24 Hours dailies in Toronto and Vancouver, from Quebecor Media Inc. (the Sun Media Acquisition).
Publicis Groupe SA, a multinational company from France, acquired Nurun Inc, a Montreal-based provider of digital marketing services, for $125 million, from Québecor Média Inc.
Lumenpulse Inc. completed an initial public offering of its common shares. In connection with the initial public offering, Lumenpulse issued 6.25 million common shares at a price of $16 for a total of $100 million, and the common shares began trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol “LMP.”
