An experienced commercial litigator, Joëlle Boisvert counsels large national and international companies with regard to a variety of complex dispute matters. Over her 35-year-plus career, she has acquired extensive experience in class actions and litigation pertaining to commercial and real estate disputes. Her practice has brought her to plead before federal and provincial courts as well as administrative tribunals. She also has significant experience in both national and international arbitration and mediation and is an arbitrator herself. Former head of international development at Gowling WLG (Canada) LLP (2018–23), she was the first woman ever to have managed the firm’s Montreal office (2014–17) and the first woman Canadian partner on Gowling WLG’s international board. She is committed to promoting the advancement and leadership of women in all areas of professional and commercial activity.
