Anita Nador is a partner in the Gowling WLG's Toronto office, co-lead of the firm’s global trade secrets group and a member of its national Life Sciences Group. A lawyer and Registered Patent Agent in Canada and the US and a Registered Trademark Agent in Canada, Anita’s practice focuses on intellectual property, regulatory compliance and commercialization planning, primarily in the life sciences and chemical sectors – including pharmaceuticals, biologics, natural health products, agriculture, foods and medical devices. She advises on such matters as drafting and prosecuting patent applications, patent linkage/data exclusivity, product regulatory approvals, market access, advertising, marketing and labelling, and privacy. She also assists clients with related agreements such as licensing, distribution, clinical trial, consulting and master services agreements and has conducted due diligence on many commercial transactions and financings. Anita is an Adjunct Professor at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, University of Toronto. She has a BA in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale. She has been recognized as a leader in her field by IAM Strategy 300 – The World’s Leading IP Strategists and Managing IP's: IP Stars (patents) among other recognitions.
