Rafal Wrzesien is a partner in Gowling WLG Montreal’s Business Law Group. He also leads the Central and Eastern Europe Country Desk of Gowling WLG Canada. The focus of Rafal’s practice is business law with a particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, distressed M&A, procurement and construction. Rafal advises Canadian and international clients – including private and public companies and private equity investors – on the legal aspects of projects, particularly in the technology, infrastructure and energy sectors. In this capacity, he is regularly involved in the preparation and negotiation of various types of commercial agreements, including acquisition contracts (shares and assets), shareholder agreements, construction contracts and bid materials. He also lectures at the John Molson School of Business (Concordia University) MBA program. Rafal was named an Acritas Star in 2018, 2019 and 2020 and has been recognized in The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory and The Best Lawyers in Canada.
