Susan Rosen is a partner in Gowling WLG’s Toronto office and a member of both the Real Estate and Urban Development and Financial Institutions & Services Groups. She has extensive experience in a range of syndicated lending, banking, restructuring and enforcement, real estate, commercial leasing, and environmental law-related areas. Susan's practice involves secured financings, commercial acquisition, disposition and financing transactions, construction financing, commercial and retail leasing and environmental law-related issues. In her practice, she acts on behalf of individuals, mid-size and multinational corporations, REITs, financial institutions and credit unions, insurance companies and foreign investors, as well as some of Canada's largest developers, property and asset managers and retail chains. Susan speaks and moderates panels regularly, has chaired a number of industry and legal conferences and has written many articles and papers on a variety of legal topics. She plays a strong role in the firm’s diversity initiatives, chairs Gowling WLG’s Women’s Professional Network for Toronto and received the Starbucks International Excellence in Diversity Award in 2012. Susan has been recognized in both The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory and The Best Lawyers in Canada.
