Practising labour and employment law since the beginning of his career, André Sasseville has, over the years, acted as a strategic advisor and spokesperson for employers tasked with collective agreement negotiation and labour dispute resolution. Recognized as an expert in crisis management, he regularly represents clients before specialized labour tribunals and civil law courts. André routinely advises on the interpretation of collective agreements and on how to implement change in HR management, including collective layoffs and technological changes. He has extensive experience with representing employers before provincial and federal labour relations boards in unionization and union raiding matters, among others. Working with law practitioners across North America, André advises foreign businesses on transfers, acquisitions, and sales affecting a large workforce. As such, he has in-depth knowledge of senior management negotiation (golden parachutes, bonus plans, etc.) and drawing up prevention strategies. Businesses regularly seek André’s advice with respect to negotiating and drafting executive employee agreements, as well as incentive programs, bonus plans, stock option, and supplementary pension plans.
