Hilary Book represents clients in a wide variety of commercial litigation matters, including shareholder disputes, commercial real estate litigation and professional negligence. She has a particular interest in fraud cases, and has experience dealing with forensic accounting issues, orders freezing assets and serious civil contempt. Book’s clients conduct business in multiple jurisdictions, and she has worked with counsel across borders to develop and implement unified litigation and business strategies. She has appeared as lead counsel at trials, motions and applications in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, as well as on motions and appeals to the Ontario Court of Appeal. Book is a Director of The Advocates' Society and is a frequent speaker and skills instructor on a variety of civil litigation topics.
