National Africa Group Leader and Québec Region Mining Group Leader. Practice is broadly based, with a focus on commercial transactions notably in the areas of mergers and acquisitions and private equity. Acts as counsel for various clients involved notably in the mining, oil and gas and energy industries in Canada and internationally, notably in sub-Saharan Africa, and is a frequent speaker at events and conferences in these sectors. Involved in several organizations including the IBA and the Association of International Petroleum Negociators. Sits on various boards including Export Development Canada (EDC), FinDev Canada, CPCS Transcom Ltd., the Canadian Council for Africa as Vice-Chairman and NSIA Group, a financial institution based in the Ivory Coast as a nominee of the National Bank of Canada.
