Jean-Philippe Buteau is a partner in Norton Rose Fulbright’s Québec City office. His areas of expertise include mergers and acquisitions and financing. He primarily assists private and public companies as well as insurance companies, banks and investment dealers in investment and co-investment transactions. He has also a broad experience in all types of corporate finance, mergers, acquisition and divestitures. Mr. Buteau represents clients in a variety of industries with a focus on infrastructure, resources and energy. He has advised clients in a number of cross-border transactions, including the creation of investment and co-investment vehicles, joint ventures, project finance and the acquisition and sale of infrastructures and resource assets in various countries. Mr. Buteau has also participated in a number of commercial transactions, including initial public offerings, reverse takeovers, acquisition of local and foreign companies, and public and private financings for which he has acted as counsel to both dealers and issuers.
