Matthew Zischka is a partner, lawyer, engineer, and patent agent with a particular focus on advising global and Canadian companies in traditional and emerging technology industries. For over 20 years, he has helped clients commercialize and protect their intellectual property, providing legal opinions and counselling on IP strategy, transactions, licensing, assertions of patent infringement, and contract interpretation. Mr Zischka is in high demand for his capacity to solve complex patent issues and prepare and prosecute patent applications. He has special expertise in advising public and private companies in the electrical, software, electronics, cloud, mobile, mechanical, and medical device fields, and in emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, cryptography, and fintech. He is a frequent speaker on issues of Canadian Patent Law.
