Jean Fontaine is a partner and member of the litigation & dispute resolution and Restructuring & Insolvency groups. His practice focuses principally on the areas of restructuring & insolvency, and shareholders disputes. Jean has been involved in numerous cases where he either acted for the defence or for the plaintiff. Among other clients, he represents financial institutions, trustees, and public companies. He is a member of the Montreal office’s management committee. As such, he is actively involved in all management areas of the office, including strategic orientations. He is also a member of the Montreal office’s business development and gender balance initiative committees.
On July 5, 2016, North American Lithium Inc. completed its acquisition of substantially all of the assets of a Lithium Project located in the municipality of La Corne, Québec, as well as certain other assets, from KSV Kofman Inc., in its capacity as court-appointed receiver of Québec Lithium Inc., RB Energy Inc. and Sirocco Mining Inc.
