George Karahotzitis is an experienced litigator, practising in all aspects of matrimonial disputes, with an emphasis on complex financial issues and high conflict disputes. He is a partner at Thomson, Rogers in Toronto and, as the leader of the Family Law Department, manages a large caseload, overseeing fellow partners, associates, clerks, and assistants. George regularly appears in the Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court and the Ontario Court of Appeal. George is a contributor and speaker at continuing legal education seminars and has co-authored a number of articles for CLE. From 2012–2023, he was the co-chair of the “Complex Issues” series of conferences held by Osgoode Professional Development related to complex issues in Family Law. George has been selected by his peers published in The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory as a leading practitioner in the field of Family Law, in The Best Lawyers in Canada listing in the field of Family Law, and is a Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers. In 2022, George was honoured as the "Best Lawyers, Lawyer of the Year" in the Family Law category for Toronto. He has also been ranked in the Chambers High Net Worth Legal Guide, Family/Matrimonial for the years 2020 to 2023.
