LAWYER PROFILES

Paul Pape:

Paul has over 45 years of experience as both trial and appellate counsel and has acted in many cases of significance. Paul’s litigation practice focuses on complex commercial, securities, class action, professional negligence, and administrative matters, with special emphasis on appeals. Paul received his LLB at Osgoode Hall Law School in 1969 and his LLM at King’s College, University of London, England in 1972. He was admitted to the bar in 1971.

Shantona Chaudhury:

Shantona represents both individual and institutional clients in civil and commercial litigation and has particular expertise in appeals. Her experience includes commercial disputes, class actions, torts, judicial review, professional discipline, professional negligence, administrative, constitutional, public international law, and national security law. Shantona has been counsel in over 40 appeals at the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Divisional Court, the Federal Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada. She was admitted to the Law Society of Ontario and Barreau du Quebec in 2007.

Cristina Senese:

Cristina maintains a broad civil and commercial litigation practice, with an emphasis on appeals. Cristina brings a high-level of creativity, organization and efficiency to her files that has led to success at all levels of Court in Ontario. Her experience includes complex commercial disputes, class proceedings, professional liability, civil procedure, negligence, and administrative law. Cristina joined Pape Chaudhury in 2018.

Mitchell McGowan:

Mitchell joined Pape Chaudhury after being called to the bar in 2021. As an articling student, he clerked for the judges of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in the Central South Region. Prior to this, Mitchell received his JD from the University of New Brunswick Faculty of Law. Mitchell completed a BA and MA in political science at the University of Western Ontario, and an MA in history at the University of Waterloo.
