Terra Law was founded by Russell Benson, Beverly Ellingson, Glenn Leung and Elizabeth Yip, four long-time colleagues who decided to leave equity partnership at a large national law firm in July, 2013 to form a commercial real estate boutique, the first of its kind in British Columbia. At the time, Benson, Ellingson, Leung, and Yip already had well-established track records of success in advising local, regional, national and international commercial real estate clients. Since its formation, Terra Law has grown to 18 lawyers, nine paralegals and over 45 employees in total. The Terra Law team has the legal skill, industry knowledge and bench-strength typically found at larger law firms, with the personal service and value proposition more often associated with smaller practices.
