Partner in the firm’s Montreal office. Practice focuses on restructuring and insolvency matters. Has acted in a significant number of restructurings and reorganizations, advising various corporations (at both the board and management levels), as well as investors, financial advisors, lenders, trustees, monitors, and receivers. Frequently assists the World Bank as an insolvency law expert and, as such, participated recently in missions in various countries in the Caribbean and Africa. Currently lectures at the Université de Montréal, in the Faculty of Law, on Commercial Restructuring. Member of the Insolvency Institute of Canada, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and INSOL International. In the past, he sat on the committee for the accreditation of bankruptcy trustees and has been President of the Canadian Bar Association, Bankruptcy and Insolvency Division (Quebec chapter). Speaks frequently at various organizations about insolvency issues and about restructuring strategies tailored to the firm’s clients. Listed in The Best Lawyers in Canada since 2015 for insolvency and financial restructuring. He is also rated by Martindale-Hubbell. Admitted to the Quebec Bar in 1992.
