Counsel to the firm and co-founder of Koskie Minsky LLP. He has practised extensively on behalf of trade unions and professional associations for more than 50 years, appearing on numerous occasions before labour relations and employment law tribunals, as well as the courts. Frequently lectured and written on all aspects of labour and employment law, including employee benefits, and has participated in numerous professional and continuing legal education programs in these fields. A principal focus of his practice has been in the field of construction labour relations in representing various building trades unions in collective bargaining and legal proceedings and provincial and local building trades councils in consultations with government over legislative changes. He has also acted as Secretary, Treasurer and Chair of the Labour Section of the Canadian Bar Association (Ontario) and former Vice Chair of the Labour Law Specialty Committee of the Law Society’s specialist certification program. Mr. Minsky was elected in 2009 as a Fellow of the prestigious College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and served as the Chair of the Canadian Credentials Committee.
