Mr. Buswell is a partner in McCarthy Tétrault’s Montreal office and a Fellow of the American College of Labour and Employment Lawyers. He specializes in complex litigation pertaining to the dismissal of employees and executives and the enforcement of non-competition and non-solicitation restrictive covenants. He also provides strategic advice regarding collective labour relations, and acts for employers before arbitration and labour relations boards and tribunals. He has also been involved in high-profile litigation matters before the Quebec Court of Appeal, the Federal Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. Before joining McCarthy Tétrault, Mr. Buswell was a Practice Group leader at two other national law firms where he also sat on National and Regional Management Committees. He is a member of the American Employment Law Council. Called to the Bar of Quebec in 1997.
