Alyssa Duke

Alyssa has a broad corporate commercial litigation practice with an emphasis on construction and oil and gas arbitrations and litigation, as well as securities regulation, securities litigation, and class actions. Alyssa has experience in construction disputes over the course of representing project owners as well as engineers and architects named in multi-party commercial disputes in matters involving contractor delay, deficient work, failure to properly maintain facilities, and construction product liability issues. Prior to joining Blakes, Alyssa practised at an international law firm with an emphasis on professional liability and director and officer disputes. Alyssa has appeared in the Alberta provincial court, the Alberta Court of King’s Bench, the Alberta Court of Appeal and was second chair in a Supreme Court of Canada matter. She has also participated in regulatory interviews and hearings with the Alberta Securities Commission, the US Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada. Alyssa has extensive experience working with oil and gas, construction and accounting experts, as well as managing large-scale e-discovery for complex commercial matters.
