Andrea Gonsalves

Andrea Gonsalves is an experienced litigator, sought out by clients for her sound judgment, strategic and practical advice, and strong courtroom advocacy. She has extensive experience in litigation and dispute resolution, with particular emphasis on appeals and judicial review applications, administrative and regulatory law, corporate and commercial disputes, defamation and media law, intellectual property disputes, and professional discipline matters. Drawing on her broad-based experience, she provides practical and strategic advice on complex issues arising at the intersection of many legal areas. She argues cases regularly before the Ontario and federal courts and represents clients in a wide variety of administrative proceedings and private dispute resolution processes. She has been retained by industry regulators to conduct complex and sensitive enforcement proceedings. She has taught administrative law courses as adjunct faculty for over a decade and writes and speaks frequently on a variety of legal topics. Prior to joining Stockwoods LLP, she clerked at the Court of Appeal for Ontario and for Justice Louis LeBel of the Supreme Court of Canada.
