Andrew is a principal of the boutique law firm of Heal & Co. Construction Lawyers and has practised construction law for over three decades. Andrew’s practice includes advising on and reviewing complex construction contracts, municipal and construction liability matters, professional liability and discipline, and judicial and appellate review of public authority and commercial disputes. Andrew counsels and encourages exploring alternative means of resolving disputes, where appropriate, and advises on contractual and risk management tools to avoid disputes in the first place. He acts for sureties, insurers, owners, contractors, and trades in construction and real property disputes. Andrew also acts in defence of construction professionals in malpractice claims. Over the years, Andrew has been a frequent author, chair and speaker at many construction law and industry events. Past Chair of the CBA and OBA National Construction and Infrastructure Law Section. A member of the International Construction Division of the ABA. Certified by The Law Society of Ontario as a Specialist in Construction Law and recognized in The Best Lawyers in Canada in Construction Law. A Fellow of the Construction Lawyers Society of America and a Fellow of the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers.
