Aubrey Lasky is a partner in Gowling WLG’s Waterloo Region office. The focus of his practice is domestic and international corporate law, delivering strategic legal advice to public sector clients in Canada, the US, the UK and beyond. Aubrey is highly regarded for his experience in complex commercial transactions, mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance and joint ventures with a particular focus on the manufacturing, technology, infrastructure and construction sectors. Aubrey acts as a trusted advisor to many US and international clients on their in-bound Canadian strategies and Canadian clients in relation to conducting business and establishing operations overseas. He has worked on projects and transactions in Canada, the US, the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Australia, and various offshore jurisdictions. Aubrey is qualified as a solicitor in Ontario and England and Wales and currently holds a Foreign Legal Consultant permit from the LSO with respect to the laws of England and Wales. Active in the community, Aubrey is a director and corporate secretary for the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Association. He is a founding member of Next Generation – The Leadership Series, an initiative designed to promote and train the next generation of business leaders in the Waterloo Region.
